Affiliate Programs

What’s an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a way that companies thank existing customers for sending them new customers. If you’ve ever lived in or visited an apartment complex, you’ve probably seen the sign at the entrance that says “Refer a friend, get $200″. That’s an affiliate program. If you click on one of my affiliate links to a product featured on this site, and you buy something from that company, then we make a small commission. The commission is paid by the company, not you.

Why should I care that you use affiliate links?

Because the government, specifically the Federal Trade Commission, says that we have to tell you we use an affiliate link. No sneaky advertising and money-making schemes allowed. If you want to know more, you can read this article:

How much money do you make?

As of the date this was written (June 2014)? Nothing. We’ve just started this website and have not made a dime. Hopefully in a year, we will be changing this paragraph quite a bit.

Products we recommend (affiliate programs)

The products we recommend on this website are from vendors we used before to purchase items and gifts for ourselves or friends. We’ve had good dealings with them in regards to shipping, order tracking and returns, therefore we feel confident recommending them to the general public. If you see a vendor missing from our listings, let us know. We are always looking for opportunities to promote reliable companies.
